WaterBear and Aegean Film Festival partnered for the second year to run the RTF competition which awards young creative talents the opportunity to turn their idea into a short documentary. The prize consists of the production of your film up to a value of €25,000. Open to ages between 13-24; applications closed on the 31st of May 2022.

Furthermore, WaterBear has over 200 films, more than 75 non-profit partners and over 200 projects around the world for you to explore.
With themes ranging from the ever-current issue of climate change to the unexplored depths of our oceans, we welcome any environmental ideas that could reshape the future of our planet.

The 10 finalist participants attended the Aegean Film Festival in Greece this July to pitch their ideas to our acclaimed jury for a chance to have their project made into a short documentary of up to 15 minutes long.
